I am no expert in this area (yet), but I would like to share some tips with you that I have found make my business more successful.

#1) “This is Your Wake-Up Call!” (Set that Alarm)

If you had a 9-5 out of the home job, you would be expected to be at work at a certain time each day…on time. Don’t expect anything less of yourself by working at home. You are your boss so be hard on yourself! Don’t be late. Yes, working from home is a luxury and a great aspect of it is that you don’t have to get up early and go to work. However, if you begin treating it like you do, your success will come quicker; you will learn self-discipline much faster; and then down the road, you can enjoy sleeping until your eyes decide to open. For now, it’s not the time for that!

#2) What NOT to Wear!

Most of you have seen the show on TV called, “What NOT to Wear.” Good show and it works for you work-at-home”ers” too! I have seen so many people mention that they work in their pj’s all day long or sweatpants because no one sees them anyway and it is more comfortable. Yes, that is a benefit of working from home and this, of course, is your decision. But try this for a week: After you’ve done step 1 (gotten up by the sound of your alarm clock,) get in the shower and get dressed…brace yourself people…all the way down to your makeup, shoes, jewelry, perfume.

You must think I am crazy huh? This is a mental thing – when you are fully dressed, as if you are headed to an office job somewhere, you feel good about yourself. You wouldn’t go to an office job or in front of your boss in your pj’s or sweatpants would you? Would you show up without your makeup on or barefoot? No! You would show up looking good and feeling good about your appearance. When you feel good about yourself, your confidence level is up and you are much more ready to “face the world” and be successful. One last thing about this is that when you work from home, it is so easy to kick back or take a break, which turns into a nap or laziness and then you find that you’ve wasted a huge portion of your day. With your shoes on your feet, it is much harder to lay down and get comfortable. Try it and see!

Let me tell you a bit about me… I used to work as full time retail assistant 8am to 5pm and with 2 young kids I was giving most of my hard earned cash to the childcare center.

I have total freedom and total control over my income. If I want extra money one week I simply just put in more hours.

There are a few paid online survey companies around but if you’re going to sign up with one of these it’s best to go with one that has been recommended to you by someone who has used them before.

As for selling items on eBay you can source products to sell from the many wholesale directories out there but be careful, I have paid money for wholesale directories only to find that some of the suppliers don’t even exist or they expect to be paid by Western Union, never pay anyone by Western Union ! Whether for a special project or just for fun, it is quite awesome to create custom posters that looks just like movie posters. With the advent of hi-tech printers and Internet printing services, it has also become very easy and very convenient to print such designs. In this article we will teach you how to create your own custom posters similar to, or almost exactly like your favorite movie. There are six major steps involved in poster printing this way.

1. Copy or scan a high resolution movie poster – First you will need some base material. You will need to copy or scan your favorite movie poster. You can probably download something over the Internet, but be mindful of the resolution. Try to get as big an image as possible when looking online. Barring that, you can try borrowing or buying the movie poster yourself and scanning it on high resolution. Either way, try to save the image in a format that is easily changed and used by imaging software.

2. Break it down to components – Next, once you have the main movie poster image, you should try to already break it down to its component parts. Using software like Adobe Photoshop, you can quickly select major components like the movie logo or a symbol using the “Magic wand” tool.
