In my previous article, ‘How to Use the Internet to Turn Your Ideas Into Cash – Part 3′, I explored the various methods to deliver your product, service, or information, to the public using the Internet.
In this article, we’ll explore some smart marketing techniques that ‘attract’ the right buyers for your product or service.
Unfortunately, people often think that all they have to do is toss up and website and the money will start rolling in. As nice as this would be, it doesn’t happen that way.
That would be the same as opening up a store on some back road that no one drives down. People have to know that you exist before they can come to you.
You have to let people know that your website exists, that you have something to offer them, and how you do that is done by marketing. Marketing is simply promoting yourself and your website to let people know that you have something for sale.
A common misconception is that marketing costs thousands and thousands of dollars, and it can if you use traditional methods of marketing like newspapers, television commercials, or the yellow pages. (more…)
