When I first came to the internet I did not know what I was doing? I was not looking to start a business.

My knowledge of computers was very limited. The internet was a hobby. It was a place to look for information. I looked for ways to make extra money, but I had a business in the world outside the internet.

I built houses. Every house I ever built had a plan. Someone spent a lot of time developing that plan. All I had to do was take the plan, and follow it, and day by day the house took shape, until it looked just like the plan showed me it would look like.

There were times that changes were made, but basically the plan was followed exactly. There were no shortcuts. I knew from the beginning how long it would take.

I have found that most things done to make money on the internet are done haphazardly. Most of the advertisements I see every day tell you how much money you can make, without spending any money, or doing any work. (more…)

If you do not know anything about your Company and your product line, you will not convince anyone to join you. How do you get in the know about your program? You attend conference calls and webinars several times until you understand what the presenters are talking about. If you do not learn how the program really works, you are at a serious disadvantage when trying to “sell” other people on why they should join you and the program.

2. Learn How The Compensation Plan Works — This is another very important point. Many people do not know to earn money in their company. When you work in a job, you know what you must do and how you get paid. Working from home in an online business is no different. You can not “hide” behind your computer screen. Many people are very interested in earning income online. If you can not explain to them how they can earn income by joining your team, you are not a very attractive sponsor to them. You do not need to be a compensation expert to be effective. You just need to be able to let a person know how they can earn their first hundred and then first thousand dollars in the opportunity. For most of my life I have worked for a company and, whilst I have made some good money, I have never felt 100% secure in my position or felt fully rewarded for my efforts. It has always been a dream of mine to have my own business and work for myself.

In the early 90’s I made one foray into a business partnership which lasted about a year before I was betrayed by my business partner. In 2001, the company I worked for was putting people off again and, while I was not one of the unfortunate people to be made redundant, it did get me thinking again about my future and so I decided to make a complete break. I had some money and so an early retirement seamed like a possibility if I could find an business opportunity that would suit me.

My plan was to use my technical and teaching skills in the computer industry to contract myself out and thus have control over my work and schedule. I was in no hurry, I could take six months or a year break and then get back to work after a well earned rest. Or so I thought. My timing was lousy. The computer industry was in a slump. Companies were laying people off all around the world and nobody needed my skills any more.

So, I was living in Thailand at the time, and I managed to get involved in running a pub and restaurant which was great for a while. Then things got tough. The economy took a dive and my business followed. It’s amazing how fast you get through the money when your business is on the way down. Another attempt to start and run a business met with similar results, again good idea but bad economy and bad timing. (more…)

Have you ever watched that show on the fox channel about the “masked magician” who reveals how all the magic tricks are done? He takes you behind the scenes and shows you step by step exactly how the illusion is done. I bet this guy has a price on his head for spilling the secrets of these successful magicians! I would imagine that this guy has major security following him around to protect him. I know that it is just a matter of METHOD, ACTION, PERSISTENCE AND TIME before I am successful too.

2. THINK. I know that everything begins with a thought and that the things I think about most will become real and physical therefore I will concentrate on thinking positively about the person that I want to become and the situation that I want to be in and hold a clear image of that.

3. DISCARD. I know that harbouring negative thoughts towards others only holds me back from accomplishing my own goals and aims more quickly, therefore I will release all thoughts of hatred, envy, jealousy, selfishness and cynicism towards others. I know that while I am holding a grudge they’re out having a party! So I won’t play that game anymore.

4. LEARN. I know that all failure is temporary, educational and a step closer to my goals for success and wealth online. I will learn from my mistakes and demand of myself better, smarter work and I will persist and reach my goals.

5. ACT. I know that the greatest success is made up from ten, twenty, a hundred or even a thousand smaller successes along the way. I commit myself to continuous, persistent ACTION and I will celebrate my small successes knowing that I am leading to my big achievement of successfully becoming financially free and wealthy online.
