How You Can Decide What Are Legitimate Internet Business Opportunities

Published: Mar 7th, 2010 | Author: Alex Bhaswara Add Comment

On the Internet there are scams and there are legitimate business opportunities. You should do complete research before joining any possible business opportunities. Here are a few good tips to consider when making a decision.

You should always do a thorough check on the company. I’m always a little suspect of companies that won’t disclose much about themselves. It is as if they are trying to hide something.

You should be able to call them and talk to an actual person. You also should be able to get a mailing address and detailed information about their history. How long have they been in business and what successes have they had?

You can learn quite a bit about a business by looking at their website. It should be professional and provide information without just a bunch of fluff. You can find out more about specific companies by visiting alex.com.

What kind of customer support and training do they provide? A good business will be able to answer your questions when you need them. There should also be quality training to help your business grow after you start it. Many Internet companies offer complete online training. (more…)

Using an Internet Business and Passive Income As a Lifestyle Design Aid

The question that I’ve been pondering lately is this: what exactly is lifestyle design?

It was only a few weeks ago that I first heard the term lifestyle design. I had no idea what exactly that meant, but in very basic terms I knew that a lifestyle was how someone lives, and design is creation. But, to create your own lifestyle? I didn’t quite understand the idea.

Lifestyle design is such a new term that it’s not even on Wikipedia yet, but successful Internet business gurus are using it like we use air to breathe. So, I decided to do some research.

I learned that lifestyle design, actually creating your own lifestyle and living how you want to live, is something that is very real. People like Timothy Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Workweek, has done things in his life to live exactly how he wants to live. He’s a national Chinese Kickboxing Champion, a break dancer in Taiwan, actor and a multi-millionaire. He’s able to do these things because he has created businesses and utilizes outsourcing to allow him to only have to work four hours a week, which opens up more time in his life for doing things that he wants.

I want that. (more…)

The Number 1 Reason Your Internet Business is Not Working the Way You Planned

Do you feel that if you give enough towards a dream, it will come true?
Do you feel that if you invest time and money into your business then you will get what you want?
Are you ready for change?

If you can answer YES to these questions than your internet success will be limitless. Over the past few years I have really gotten a sense for the qualities needed to succeed in internet marketing. I have also gotten a sense for identifying which personal qualities of mine can be most utilized to achieve success. One of my most important qualities is that I BELIEVE in the businesses I launch and in the companies I invest with. The most important quality within EVERY successful entrepreneur is a positive mindset. A positive mindset that no matter what adversities you face, YOU WILL ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS.

The hardest part of starting, managing or transforming a successful business is the courage to possess this mindset. The success stories you hear about online or in books did not come about by sitting around and contemplating where to start. They also did not come about through 15 hour work days and tremendous amounts of commitment. In order to be successful you need a PLAN or an IDEA and you need to implement this plan in a SMART way.

Work SMART. Not HARD. If you ask any successful internet marketer that is what they will tell you. They will also tell you a few other words of wisdom such as:

“The squeaky wheel gets the grease.”- In other words, make sure you become a squeaky wheel. Ask as many questions as you can and find out as much as you can from others. Contacts and connections, co workers, friends, family, employers, strangers. They are all pools of knowledge that you need to soak up. (more…)

Before Starting an Internet Business Make Sure You Know What Kind of Software You Will Need

When you start thinking about opening an internet based business a few things to think About are. What kind of software am I going to need? There is a lot to say about software the programs and fetchers you will need to create a website or write, read and edit content for your site.

There are many types of web design software on the market. Some can cost you a lot of money some are free. Just because the tool cost a lot does not mean it is the best tool for the job. It will probably do what you want and more, but do you have the time to read and learn how to use it properly and are you going to need all that it does? Some of the free site editors that are not as costly or even free have less fetchers, so you do not have to learn as much and in most cases will do the job that you have it for just fine.

Text editors and word processors are key if you are using a program that uses a PDF format you need a program on your computer that will read a PDF file. If you want to write something like an eBook and market it. The most common form is in PDF format so you will need a program that will write PDF files. They Range in price and some are free. Most computers come with a note pad program and are a great tool but in most cases will not do the whole job that you need for writing, reading and editing content for your website. (more…)

How to Choose the Online Internet Business That is Right For You

Just starting out with an online internet business can be very daunting – especially when the masses of information out there are all saying something different. I do however, firmly believe that before diving into the next “too good to be true” type of offer that comes along, you should take the time to look around and see what type of internet business ideas are actually out there and available.

There are so many different types of things you can do online to get an internet business up and running. Affiliate marketing and blogging are two of the more popular ones, however the list is endless. Some of the ideas will appeal to you and others wont, which is why you should look around before making a decision.

It is also important to realise that there is no magic button out there, that when pushed, will flood your bank account with money. It is a gradual process which needs to be build up. No matter what is promised, nothing happens overnight. It is a matter of finding what suits you and what you like so that you are happy to do and look forward to work instead of hating it, and then working on it bit by bit to automate it and make it grow.

Once you have selected the internet business idea that appeals to you, learning the technical side of it (how to make it happen) can be a breeze. It is simply searching for the information on the internet, and these days it can mostly be done for free. There is no need to spend a fortune to buy every product out there that promises everything including the kitchen sink. (more…)

Free Advertising For Your Internet Business

How do you start promoting an Internet Business from scratch? We all know that having a website and a product can’t alone make you money online. You need constant traffic (people) visiting your site and buying from you to survive.

There is a formula that has to be followed to ensure that becomes a possibility. There are thousands of ways to promote yourself on the internet today and I am going to share some great ideas that can be used to do exactly that.

I have mentioned numerous times about social networking sites but today I am going to concentrate on something different. The less obvious approach of free advertising that only a handful of Internet Entrepreneurs capitalize on to get good exposure:

1. Writing ads for your Internet Business

This is a fantastic way to make your website or blog stand out from the rest. If you adapt to writing one to three ads a day on at least three ad sites, your business will already go from not being known to about 20 visitors in one day. (more…)

SPAM. In affiliate marketing, using SPAM could cost you more than a sale

Spam is something that infuriates most of us. It is now considered a four letter word that should not be used these days and something that should never be spoken about. Spamming in Internet Marketing should most definitely not be used.

One great anecdote is from Microsoft’s own Bill Gates: “Like almost everyone who uses e-mail, I receive a ton of spam every day. Much of it offers to help me get out of debt or get rich quick.”

If the man who brought the personal computer to the home isn’t impervious to spam then, who is? I am not going to go on and on and on about spam, what it is, and how annoying it is, because everybody knows about those infuriating advertisements sent via email filling your inbox. Instead I would like to demonstrate how how spam can seriously affect affiliate marketing and your business.

So, what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is the promoting of and selling of products online by an associate on behalf of a company. Sign up with the company and you are authorised to sell their products and you take a percentage of that sale. So you may logically assume that by “spamming” or sending out advertisements to as many people as you possibly can, you will target a vast audience thereby achieving a greater chance of many more sales. Unfortunately, this is an extremely simplified and the wrong view to take. Spamming like this can actually hurt your affiliate business. Statistics suggest that up to 80% of all emails these days is categorized as “spam” and far too many of these unfortunately come from affiliate marketers, believing that sending blanket emails is the best way in which to promote, expose and gain their product recognition.
